London Fashion Week

Now that London Fashion Week is behind us, we are busy digesting the shows and considering which styles from which collections are going to work for maternity & beyond for Spring Summer 2009 !
My favourite show by far was Temperley London...so elegant and awash with ethereal white, electric blue and fuschia - the later two of which are stunnning colours to wear when pregnant. We also enjoyed seeing mama-la-mode model mummy Laura Bailey in the front row looking chic as ever :)

Another favourite was Issa's show where we were thrilled to see new mother Nicole Kidman sitting pretty in the front row giving her seal of approoval to the versatile label. A fabulous collection full of vibrant colour & beautiful prints expertly modelled by Naomi Campbell.

Next stop Paris !

Autumn Winter Trends

So we must accept that winter is upon us, and with that thankfully comes a whole host of new trends to ease the transition.

Do not be tempted to succomb to the 'I have nothing wear' feeling that may be lurking; instead adapt your wardrobe and update it with a few key items of the season that will convert to your non-maternity wardrobe, and take confidence in yourself as well as your blossoming bump!

My favourite key look is the poncho, which could not be more perfect for maternity. So elegant worn over leggings or skinny /slim fit maternity jeans, or even as a mini dress with a pair of tights. Our much awaited Paul & Joe poncho coat (pictured in red) is perfect for maternity, with a cute red riding hood feel, front pockets and available in black or camel it is THE coat of the season from Paul & Joe's mainline - not only perfect for maternity, you will be glad of it waaaay beyond.....

Luxe Folklore is another key trend for Autumn Winter, and is so easy to buy into for maternity. This look is all about oversized cardigans and chunky knits layered over simple and basic tops, accessorized with gold or wooden bangles & necklaces

We suggest teaming this look with ugg boots as they are extremely comforable for swollen feet, and our knee high style by Love From Australia actually manage to look pretty too ! With ribbons up the back to tie at the top and available in Sand, Black or Tan....not to be bought without a matching pair for your 'mini-me' to come.

Once your feet are in, it's impossible to take them out...
